Learning objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will have gained a thorough understanding of the factors affecting the design and operation of the differing designs employed in the production of
hydrogen by steam reforming.

This will cover all of the catalytic stages involved in hydrogen production; the affect of changes in feedstock’s and process conditions on hydrogen yield; the role of the unit as a steam raising boiler; start-up and shut-down procedures including all aspects of catalyst handling and activation together with plant monitoring and the possible options for increasing output.
